WeedBlock® RootBlock Create Weed Free Gardens Eithout Using Chemicals. Roots from trees and shrubs growing underneath lawns, paths, drives and patios can be a nuisance. They can damage the surface resulting in costly repairs. They can cause damage to underground pipes and tree roots can also contribute to building damage by undermining their foundations. WeedBlock® RootBlock is a strong HDPE coated geotextile that has been specifically designed to act as a barrier to resist damage to property and gardens from tree and shrub roots. In tests this material demonstarted that it could withstandpenetration from even the most vigorous of tree roots.                       Where to use: As a barrier to control root growth from bamboos and other plants with aggresive root systems. Protect drainage pipes from root damage by trees and shrubs. To stop root damage to paths, drives, patios, underground services, walls and foundations. Along lawn edges as a barrier to stop creeping plant roots. In the front of hedges to stop roots creeping into surrounding areas.

How to Use:

 
RootBlock is placed vertically in the ground with the
black smooth side facing  the plant, tree or shrub.

Ensure that the barrier is long enough so that roots
will not grow around it.

RootBlock should also protrude above the ground so
that roots do not grow over it.

Overlap and seal all joints that roots may grow through
with double sided tape.

Make sure RootBlock is not damaged during installation.
