WeedBlock® Under Decking Fabric

Stop weeds coming through your decking without chemicals.

It is important to use an underliner beneath your decking. If weeds take hold after the decking is finshed it's a hard job to remove them. Do not use non-permiable plastic sheet, as this will allow water to stand and stagnate, which could damage the wood. WeedBlock® is designed to allow water to pass through, stop weed growth, and to keep soil fresh. Heavy duty fabric prevents weed penetration. Allows water and nutrients through to soil Allows soil to breathe.

How to Use: Clear the ground of all plants, grasses and weeds in the area where you intend constructing your deck.   Ensure the soil is completely free of all seeds and roots. If you have pernicious weeds or grasses, spray the area with a glyphosate weedkiller before laying fabric.                               Lay the fabric immediately after clearing the soil. Either fix your support posts then place the fabric around them or lay the fabric then cut holes to fit support posts through. Overlap fabric edges by at least 100mm. Fix fabric in place with FabricPegs®.     If you wish to cover the fabric with stones do so before fitting the decking panks. Do not rake over the fabric surface.  Please note that in areas of invasive and pernicious perennial weeds, including some grasses dual layering may be helpful.
